Association of Radiologists of Mumbai (ARM)
Mumbai doesn't believe in the snooze button.
It runs on local trains, cutting chai, endless traffic, impossible deadlines, and people who somehow still manage to show up with a smile. Radiologists of Mumbai are no different.
The Association of Radiologists of Mumbai (ARM) was revived in 2022 by Dr. Samir Gandhi, Dr. Hemal Maniar,Dr Vikrant Desai and Dr. Ashok Patel* with one goal—to build a community where radiologists don’t just meet, but learn, collaborate, mentor, compete, celebrate, and grow together.
Because behind every great diagnosis is someone who never stopped learning.
At ARM, we believe academics should be engaging, practical, and anything but boring. Throughout the year, we host CMEs, hands-on ultrasound workshops, focused certificate courses, and interactive learning sessions that keep us updated with the science while strengthening the bonds within our profession.
Mumbai teaches you one thing better than anywhere else—everyone has somewhere to be, but there’s always room for one more in the journey.
That’s what ARM is all about.
A place where residents learn from seniors, seniors learn from each other, friendships become collaborations, and competition inspires excellence.

Our Key Initiatives
Our flagship annual conference and the biggest event on the ARM calendar. A place where brilliant minds meet, ideas spark, debates get interesting, and learning goes far beyond the lecture hall.
Who says radiologists only play with grayscale?
Our box cricket tournament swaps reporting stations for batting stances, proving that teamwork isn’t just for multidisciplinary meetings. There are boundaries, wickets, friendly rivalries—and thankfully, no need for contrast.
Because life isn’t measured only in CT slices and MRI sequences.
Music, laughter, performances, conversations, and colleagues becoming lifelong friends—our annual cultural evening reminds us that the best communities are built outside conference halls too.
One of our newest academic initiatives, designed to provide structured, in-depth training from experts and help radiologists build confidence in a rapidly evolving subspecialty.

Dear Friends,
It is with humility and gratitude that I serve as President of the Association of Radiologists of Mumbai (ARM) – an association that represents not just the professional excellence of Mumbai radiology, but also its spirit of friendship, mentorship, collaboration and togetherness.
ARM has always been more than an organisation; it is a family built over years by the vision, dedication and contributions of our seniors and members. It is this rich legacy that we are privileged to inherit and committed to carry forward.
“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” Helen Keller These words beautifully capture the essence of ARM – a fraternity where individual excellence comes together to create collective strength.
Mumbai has always been at the forefront of radiology in India – a city where talent meets opportunity, where experience guides enthusiasm and where innovation thrives through collaboration. ARM embodies this unique spirit by bringing radiologists across generations together – to learn from each other, support each other and grow together.
Radiology today is evolving at an extraordinary pace. From artificial intelligence and advanced imaging technologies to precision medicine and multidisciplinary care, our role continues to expand beyond image interpretation. As radiologists, we must embrace this transformation while remaining committed to our core values – excellence, integrity, compassion and patient-centred care.
At ARM, our mission is to create meaningful platforms for education, interaction and fellowship. Through flagship academic initiatives like CROSSECON, practical hands-on workshops, focused teaching programs and collaborative events, we aim to encourage knowledge-sharing, mentorship and professional growth for radiologists at every stage of their journey.
However, the strength of an association is measured not only by the knowledge it shares, but by the relationships it builds.
ARM strongly believes that behind every radiologist is a person with unique passions, stories and talents. Initiatives like RMPL, ARM Cultural Night, and ARMverse celebrate this human side of our fraternity – creating bonds beyond workplaces, nurturing friendships beyond conferences and reminding us that fellowship is the heartbeat of any thriving community.
We also believe that our responsibility extends beyond our profession. Through initiatives like RAKSHA, we hope to give back to society and carry the compassion of radiology beyond hospitals and imaging centres.
None of this would be possible without our greatest strength – Team ARM. A group of committed, passionate individuals whose ideas, energy and selfless efforts transform every initiative into reality.
